All C's

Last week Sofia brought home her very first report card.  And she earned All C's!!!!  We are so proud of her.  Yes for C's.  And yes, C's mean something very different in Kindergarten.:)

C = consistently and independently demonstrates the skill
I = inconsistently demonstrates the skill

She is consistent in her pre-literacy skills, reading, oral language, spelling, writing composition, and math skills.  We are very proud that she consistently demonstrates good classroom behaviour and respects her teacher and fellow students.

Her are the teacher's comments.
"Sofia has done an excellent job this semester.  She is able to work independently and move from center to center.  Sofia has excellent decoding skills and is learning new phonic skills as well as comprehension strategies.  She is learning to write sentences on topic.  Sofia is diligent about finishing her work.  Sofia gets along well with others but likes to be incharge."

Sondra (with her Kindergarten teacher viewpoint) got a kick out of reading the teacher's comment for Sofia. Sondra understands that having a child like Sofia can be fun and challenging at the same time!

So glad you blogged this milestone. Her first report card, that's a memory to be kept! Love it!
