The Blue Donkey is a nickname for the blue minibuses that are one of the most affordable means of getting around our city. They are everywhere. These minibuses are the 1980's Toyota mini-vans. Remember those? They are meant to be for 12 passengers.
Every morning Kevin and I take one to language. We laugh because riding in one of these has made us long for our youth and flexibility. You see, there has never been 12 passengers. The least amount is usually around 17 or 18. One morning I counted 24 people.
In order to get 24 people in we basically are playing a game of twister. Your body twists this way and that, forget personal space.
We are grateful, however, for a way to get here and there.
