Tea Time

We are learning a language of a people group(pg) that differs than the country we live.  There is a certain area of town where our pg live as refugees but we haven't been allowed to go there since our arrival due to security reasons.

This past week we were given the green light to go.  So a field trip during language class it was.  It was so wonderful to be able to meet and interact with our pg, enjoy listening to the language (and try to see if we understood anything Ha!), and enjoy one of the most common cultural activities….drinking tea.

Tea is made with some wonderful spices such as ginger and cardamom, sugar and camel's milk.  So delicious.

It was a wonderful time with tea.  Hopefully there will be many more to come.
